WashMo Reading Tutoring provides reading tutoring for students in Washington, Missouri and the surrounding area. It's a local service business built for parents searching for help nearby.
This was a startup from the beginning. No existing website, no client base, no reviews, no local search presence. Just a service worth offering and a need to be found by the families who needed it.
The problem
Starting from zero means every channel is at zero. No Google visibility. No leads coming in through the website. No reviews to build trust. No content explaining the service to parents comparing options.
For a local tutoring business, that gap shows up fast. Parents search on their phones: "reading tutor near me." If you're not in the Map Pack or on the first page, you don't exist.
WashMo Reading Tutoring needed to go from invisible to the obvious local choice, and they needed students in the door while doing it.
How we started
This is my wife's business. I built it from the ground up: positioning, online presence, and the systems to turn searches into phone calls and form fills.
We treated it like any local startup that needs to win on Google first. The work wasn't a redesign. It was a launch.
